Loved this place. The gelato was so creamy and not too heavy. I love when gelato is creamy but not gummy or sticky. We ordered the Salted caramel and the Stracciatella. The flavors were authentic and definitely did not taste artificial. Pleasantly surprised and really hoping to go back someday.

Authentic | Lovely location | Pricy but worth it My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Grom during our first trip together to New York. Located right at the edge of Centra Park in Columbus Circle this small gelato shop is a hidden gem. Small but mighty comes to mind when I think about Grom. You wouldn't notice this place until you see the line spilling out of the door, intriguing you to come in. During our 4 day trip, we visited Grom 3 times. They have an array of classic gelato flavours including hazelnut, pistachio, dark chocolate and fruit sorbets. The flavours change daily so it made it even more exciting for us to go everyday. I preferred my gelato in a cup as it is traditional gelato that melts insanely quick in the heat while my boyfriend loved the sugar cones. Since there are so many flavours you're able to sample before committing (pre-COVID). I've been to Italy and France and I can say Grom is still competition. The gelato is creamy, thick and flavourful. I've never had such good gelato outside of Europe before I went to Grom. It's always on the top of our list when we visit New York.

Grom is a great spot for some Gelato style ice cream! The serving sizes are actually decent and you can mix and match flavors as you wish. We did stop by in the evening so the tables and workspace were a bit messy, but the staff was kind, attentive, and allowed us too sample some flavors! You'll see your classic gelatos varieties behind the counter, but a few unique ones as well. Be prepared to stand or finding seating outside elsewhere because the tiny shop was packed when I visited!

When in nyc, Grom is a must! Every single flavor is heavenly and the whipped cream is definitely their signature. Really slow and not-so-friendly service tho.

I love the gelato here! It is authentic and very flavorful. I cam here around 9 last night and there was a small line. The employees were friendly and very efficient! I did not wait longer than 5 minutes to get my gelato. I like that you can get more than one flavor in a cup or cone. They also let you sample the flavors if you want. I got half chocolate sorbet and half strawberry sorbet. The combo of the flavors was great and tasted like a chocolate covered strawberry! The chocolate sorbet was really rich, even though it was sorbet and not gelato. If I didn't know that it wasn't, I would have thought it was gelato! If you haven't already, give grom a try! It is perfect on a hot summer day!

If you are craving sweets you have to come here and treat yourself (not cheap). For reference, the soft-serve ice cream trucks around this area costs at least $5 so for 75 cents more, a small cup of Grom is definitely worth it. Pros: - They always have a set menu with the classic flavors. You can never go wrong with nocciola (hazelnut), pistachio, or chocolate, but they also have specials. Their current Crema la Amaretto is delicious so creamy and decadent. - Their sorbets are delicious if you are looking for flavors that aren't as sweet and want more of that refreshing feel. I love their mango and strawberry. I would always pair a gelato flavor with one of these sorbet flavors. The limone is delicious if you can handle really tart flavors (not for everyone). - For a small cup, they give you two flavors. The flavors are really rich so I think it justifies the small portion sizes. - Due to the lines they only give you two tastings Cons: - Lines can be extremely slow, plan accordingly. They definitely need at least three employees (two for the scooping/tastings and one for the cash register).

I have really liked their cup designs and decided to try it out. I'm not a big fan of trying out new/ famous ice cream shops because most of them are not that special as far as taste goes. This location is pretty small with few seatings, we were lucky enough to find a seat because we walked in around 3pm. They had explanations about where they source their ingredients and charities they do, which heightened its brand image. The staff was friendly. Gelato tasted amazing. I think it's better than the ones from Eataly personally. I got whipped cream on top and my fiancé said it almost tastes the same as ones he had in Italy. It was thick and creamy. The only downside is the portion. I paid 6.50$ for this tiny portion :( but would love to come back for its amazing flavors.

I never get disappointed with the variety of food and desserts NYC offered. Grom is no exception. Various seasonal flavors and many different toppings to choose from. High quality ingredients that makes me stop there whenever I pass one. I like their tiramisu gelato. It has good combination of creamy and sweet balance. Their fruits sorbets are excellent as well. Blueberry is a must try if they have it in season. Open late - huge plus for locals and visitors.

Best gelato in the city! Line can seem long but worth the wait. The texture is genuinely creamy, and most of their ingredients are actually imported from a local farm in Piedmont, Italy. Their flavors range from lemon to apricot, they have granita ice and shakes available too. The best part is grabbing an ice cream and crossing the street to Columbus circle- sitting next to the fountain (at night) and getting away from the city's hustle and bustle. There are just a few tables located outside but these get occupied quickly.
